Enabling & Disabling Individual iPad Forms
Using Forms in Yapi Leap (our new web app)? 🤔 In that case, looks like you're in the wrong place. Instead, go to the corresponding topic in our
Leap Help Center:
In YAPI, you can choose which of your iPad forms are enabled for use on an iPad - in other words, which forms are available for signing. This article covers how to recognize whether a form is enabled, how to enable it, and how to disable it if you think your team won't use it.

Recognizing Whether a Form is Enabled
Within your iPad Forms list in the Manage Documents & Templates window, if the form name is black, the form is enabled and can be assigned to a patient on an iPad. If it's gray, the form is disabled and doesn't show up on the iPad. It's still stored in YAPI if you want to enable it later.
Only forms that are enabled show on your iPad:
Â
Enabling an iPad Form
-
From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup & Manage and select Manage Documents and Templates.
-
When prompted, enter your YAPI password.
-
In the Manage Documents and Templates window that pops up, click the iPad Forms tab.
-
Locate your form on the list and click to select it. Â
-
Click Categorize and select the folder in your practice management software where you want the form to go when it's filed. Then click Ok. If you find your form already has a category selected in the list, you can skip this step.
Tip: If you don't recognize this list, simply select the most appropriate category for the form.Â
-
Double-click the form name. When a window pops up asking if you want to make the form available for signing, click Yes.
Â
Disabling an iPad Form
Tip: Disabling unused forms helps remove clutter so your team only sees the list of forms they need and you still keep a copy. If you're ready to completely delete a form you no longer need, refer to Deleting Unused Forms from YAPI.
-
From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup & Manage and select Manage Documents and Templates.
-
When prompted, enter your YAPI password.
-
In the Manage Documents and Templates window that pops up, click the iPad Forms tab.
-

-
When a window pops up asking if you want to make the form not available for signing, click Yes.
