Hiding Patient Information from Displaying on Your Dashboard

For workstations located in areas where patients might see your computer screen, we recommend configuring YAPI to hide patient information like their last name, their age, and the name of their provider. To hide patient information on your workstation, follow the steps below.

Important!  You must follow these steps for each workstation you want to hide patient information on.

Hiding Patient Information on Your Workstation

By default, YAPI shows a patient's last name and the name of their provider in the Dashboard.  YAPI can also display the patient's age (shown below), but this is disabled by default.

To stop patient names, provider names, and/or patient ages from displaying on your workstation's Dashboard:

  1. From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage Setup_and_Manage.png and select Local Setup.

  2. In the Local Configuration window, find Privacy in the yellow Options section on the left:

  3. Under Privacy:

    • To Hide Patient Last Names: Deselect Show Patient Last Name.  This will replace the rest of the letters in patients' last names with asterisks:

    • To Hide Provider Names: Deselect Show Provider Name.

    • To Hide Patients' Ages: Deselect Show Patient Age.

  4. Click Save.
