Prior to performing an update to your Practice Management Software (e.g., Eaglesoft, OpenDental, Dentrix, etc), it is a good practice to always stop the YAPI Service Manager application. This is an important step because YAPI Service interacts with your patient database, and may have files open which may interfere with PMS update.
The YAPI Service Manager is installed on your server computer. To stop YAPI Service, gain access to your server computer, launch YAPI Service Manager and click the Stop Service button.
Once the PMS update is complete, click the Start Service button to launch YAPI Service.
