Within the Dashboard, YAPI automatically shows the provider you've assigned to each patient's appointment in Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft. If a patient ends up seeing a different provider, however, or if the patient is handed off during their appointment, you can change their provider in the Dashboard to reflect that. Read the instructions below to learn how.
Important! Changing a patient's provider in the Dashboard DOES NOT change their provider in Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft.

Changing a Patient's Provider in the Dashboard
To change a patient's provider:
In the YAPI Dashboard, right-click the Provider icon next to the patient. Then, select Change Provider.
In the Change Provider window that pops up, select the new provider's provider code from the Change provider to dropdown menu.
Optional: Select the Set Alert checkbox to send an operatory alert summoning the new provider to the patient's operatory:
- Marking a Patient as Ready
- Moving a Patient to an Operatory
- Checking Patients Out
- Dismissing Patients
