Error: Failure Sending Email

This article will cover possible remedies for when YAPI shows the error message "Failure sending mail".
The typical cause of this problem is a firewall blockage for the YAPI connection to our email server - smtp.sendgrid.net - on port 587. The remedy to this is to check your firewall settings and antivirus software, then repeat the test.
-
The following response indicates that telnet.exe is not available on your computer:
The remedy, in this case, is to enable Windows Telnet Client software. After enabling, repeat the connection test in the command prompt to verify successful installation.
Note: if you are using a secure email provider, port 465 must be opened as well.
Here is a list of all internal and external ports that YAPI is using. Please make sure that those ports are not blocked by the firewall.
