Error: Failure Sending Email
This article will cover possible remedies for when YAPI shows the error message "Failure sending mail".
The typical cause of this problem is a firewall blockage for the YAPI connection to our email server - smtp.sendgrid.net - on port 587. Please note that it could be a local firewall (Windows Firewall, your antivirus software firewall, proxy settings, etc) or your office peripheral firewall like SonicWall, etc.
First: Verify that YAPI Emails are enabled the YAPI Email
Go to the Setup and Manage section (the wrench icon ), then select Global Setup and navigate to the Email tab. Verify that the Use Yapi Email Service button is checked as below:

If the following response appears, it signifies that a connection attempt was blocked:
The remedy to this is to check your firewall settings and antivirus software, then repeat the test.
The following response indicates that telnet.exe is not available on your computer:
The remedy, in this case, is to enable Windows Telnet Client software. After enabling, repeat the connection test in the command prompt to verify successful installation.
Note: if you are using a secure email provider, port 465 must be opened as well.
Here is a list of all internal and external ports that YAPI is using. Please make sure that those ports are not blocked by the firewall.
