YAPI is designed to operate on many systems with multiple software and hardware combinations. The following are YAPI's system, hardware, and network requirements:

For YAPI to communicate with the server appropriately, the following exceptions will also need to be created in the Windows Firewall settings:

Only 1 YAPI Service can be installed per server/database.
YAPI and your practice management software (Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft) must be installed on the same server.
Your practice management software must be installed and configured on your server prior to YAPI installation. For Eaglesoft users, the Eaglesoft client must also be installed on the server.
Environmental conditions such as Anti-virus, Active Directory Group Policies, DNS Service, and/or Email Services can impact the performance and specifications required.
It is not recommended to use the server as a workstation.
