For YAPI to function properly across your practice, each computer workstation must meet the minimum operating system, hardware, and firewall setting requirements listed below:
|Supported Operating Systems|
|Windows 8.1||Home, Professional, Enterprise|
|Windows 10||Home, Professional, Enterprise|
|Windows 11*||Home, Professional, Enterprise|
|Windows Server 2012||Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter|
|Windows Server 2012 R2||Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter|
|Windows Server 2016||Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter|
|Windows Server 2019||Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter|
YAPI also requires a .NET 3.5 Framework installed for Windows.
Note: YAPI is not supported on Windows 11 in S Mode.
|CPU||Dual-Core Processor||Quad-Core Processor|
|RAM||4 GB||8 GB|
|Disk Space||300 MB||500 MB|
The following ports must be opened on each workstation so that YAPI can communicate effectively with the server computer:
|TCP Inbound Ports||80, 443, 587, 18000-18009, 18800, 18802|
|TCP Outbound Ports||80, 443, 587, 18000-18009, 18800, 18802|
|UDP Inbound Ports||18002, 19000, 19001|
|UDP Outbound Ports||18002, 19000, 19001|
For more detailed information regarding which ports we require and their use cases, see YAPI Incoming/Outgoing Firewall Port Requirements.
For the security of your patients' information, workstations cannot connect to the YAPI Service on your server (that runs your overall YAPI program) when set to run on a Public internet connection. Each workstation computer must be configured to be part of a Private, Work, or Domain network.
Environmental conditions such as Anti-virus, Active Directory Group Policies, DNS Service, and/or Email Services can impact the performance and specifications required.
For team members who need to heavily multitask, we recommend increasing the specs for their workstation computers, especially when it comes to RAM.
