YAPI Workstation System Requirements

YAPI requires a minimum level of hardware and software for each individual workstation to operate appropriately. These requirements for hardware, operating systems, and firewall settings will ensure YAPI will operate properly for your dental office:

Windows 8.1 Home, Professional, Enterprise
Windows 10 Home, Professional, Enterprise
Windows Server 2012 Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter
Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter
Windows Server 2016 Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter
Windows Server 2019 Standard, Enterprise, Datacenter
Hardware Requirements

CPU Dual-Core Processor Quad-Core Processor
Disk Space Required 300 MB 500 MB

The following ports must be opened on each workstation so that YAPI can communicate effectively with the server computer:

Firewall Exceptions
TCP Inbound Ports 80, 443, 587, 18000-18009, 18800, 18802
TCP Outbound Ports 80, 443, 587, 18000-18009, 18800, 18802
UDP Inbound Ports 18002, 19000, 19001
UDP Outbound Ports 18002, 19000, 19001


Additional Notes
  • YAPI Workstation will not connect to the YAPI Service under Public network configurations.  Please make sure the workstation is part of a Private, Work, or Domain network configuration.

  • Environmental conditions such as Anti-virus, Active Directory Group Policies, DNS Service, and/or Email Services can impact the performance and specifications required.

  • For customers who heavily multitask, it is recommended to increase the specs for their machines
