If you ever encounter a situation where you need to file several documents as a single document for a patient, you might have wondered if there was an easy way to combine them. Fortunately, it's about as simple as dragging and dropping.
This article explains how to merge documents in the Document Viewer.
- Navigate to the completed forms for the patient whose documents you would like to combine. For the sake of this article, we'll call the two documents Document A and Document B.
- Select and drag Document B on top of Document A. Click "Yes" when the prompt appears.
The contents of Document B will be added after the contents of Document A in the newly combined form (in other words, if Document A is page 1, Document B is page 2). The combined form will be named after Document A, but you'll notice that Document B will remain in the Document Viewer. You can discard it by selecting Document B and clicking the red, circular icon at the top.
WARNING: Clicking the red, circular icon will delete the document. Once you delete a document, it cannot be recovered. Be sure to verify that you are deleting the correct document before you do so.
