Importing Ready-to-Use Postcard Templates into YAPI
If you have patients that prefer to receive a paper postcard rather than email or text communication, YAPI's ready-to-send postcard templates can help you stay connected without having to start from scratch. YAPI comes with several templates pre-loaded (like recall and appointment reminder postcards), but you can also download additional templates for free from our Postcard Template Library and import them into YAPI. You can then generate postcards to print with these templates and they'll fill in patients' names and contact information for you when they print! Read our instructions below to learn how to import our Ready-to-Use templates.

Downloading & Importing Postcard Templates
To use the free templates in our library:
-
Navigate to the Postcards Templates Library on the YAPI Help Center.
-
Click on the template you want to use to preview it. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the .zip file link to download the template to your computer:
Note: You may see two files two download, one ending in the word "Postcard" and one ending in the word "Envelope." Only download one of these files. Templates labelled "Postcard" are traditional postcards that YAPI prints each patient's address on. Templates labelled "Envelope" are postcards you can send in an envelope instead. For these, instead of printing patient addresses directly on each card, YAPI prints the addresses on a separate sheet of address labels that you can apply to your envelopes separately.
-
In YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Manage Documents and Templates.
-
When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.
-
In the Manage Documents and Templates window that opens, navigate to the Postcards tab and click Import:
-
Locate the .zip file you downloaded on your computer and select it, then click Open:
-
Click Yes to confirm you want to import the file.
- Optional: If you also downloaded a matching envelope template in Step 3, repeat Steps 6-8 to import the envelope .zip file.
