What Does Yapi Installation Entail?

Once you have purchased your Yapi software, your Client Onboarding Manager will work with you to schedule your installation appointment, where a Yapi Technical Support Specialist will install the software on your server computer. The purpose of the installation process is not only to set up Yapi but to ensure that the Yapi software is properly tested and functioning on your office’s network. This thorough process is necessary to ensure a turnkey experience.

What is required of my dental office during the installation process?

Your office will need to provide our Technical Support agent with admin access and enough privileges to install Yapi and sync the office’s practice management software database. If you have an IT company that handles most of your network and computer settings, it is often helpful to have them ready to assist with this process.  We also recommend you forward them the following articles prior to installation:

What are the steps taken and what will the installer do on my practice management software database?

The Installer will:

  1. Transfer the installation files required for Yapi installation onto your server.

  2. Synchronize Yapi with the your practice management software (Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft).

  3. Configure custom settings like adding in your practice's contact information.

  4. Test and verify the functionality of features included in your Yapi license.

  5. Email your practice with links to your online form packages, and instructions for installing Yapi on your office workstations and iPads.

  6. Let your Client Onboarding Manager know they've completed your install.

After this process, your Client Onboarding Manager will follow up during the appointments you scheduled during your Kickoff Meeting to show your office team the ins and outs of our software.

What can I do to make sure my server is ready for installation?
