If you need to monitor texts from patients outside of office hours, you can set up after-hours text forwarding to an email or mobile number. This helps your practice stay on top of patient needs, even when you're not in the office. To set up after-hours text forwarding, follow the instructions below.

How After-Hours Text Forwarding Works
YAPI considers a text message "after-hours" if it falls outside the office hours configured in Global Setup. These are set up by our Technical Support team during installation but you can change them at any time. With After-Hours Text Forwarding enabled, YAPI sends a copy of these messages to a selected email, mobile number, or both:
If you have your texts forwarded to a mobile number, you can respond to the forwarded text and YAPI will send your response to your patient. To respond to texts forwarded to an email address, you can log into your Practice Online Portal (POP), view your text messages, and respond to the patient from there.
Setting Up After-Hours Text Forwarding
From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup & Manage and select Global Setup.
When prompted, enter your YAPI password.
In the Global Setup window that pops up, click the CT tab.
In the Apps section, click Text Forward After-Hours.
Enter the mobile number, email address, or both that you want your texts forwarded to. The click Save.
Note: Texts can't be forwarded to multiple mobile numbers or multiple emails. YAPI supports using only one of each. Also, if you need to edit your office's schedule, we recommend following the instructions in Editing Your Office Schedule in YAPI after you complete your Text Forwarding setup. If you click the Set Office Hours option here, you could lose the email and mobile number you entered.
Click Save at the bottom of the Global Setup window.
Click OK on the warning that appears. You don't need to restart your workstations.
