Changing Practice Contact Information Within YAPI

The Practice Information is always readily available when sending out reminders through YAPI. Every email sent out includes this information to better help patients get in contact with the office for their upcoming appointments or future inquiries. The information can actually be found quite easily and can be adjusted at any time through the Global Setup. The following article will show how to adjust the Practice Information within YAPI.  

How to Access the Practice Contact Information


  1. To edit the Practice Contact Information, open the YAPI Dashboard.

  2. Click the Setup and Manage icon 2019-09-03_11-44-13.png at the top of the YAPI Dashboard and click the Global Setup option from the dropdown.

  3. Enter your password when prompted and click Ok.

  4. Within the Global Setup window, the Practice tab will have the Practice Contact Information on the left-hand side of the window.

Practice Contact Information


  1. Practice Name - This will be the name associated with the dental practice. 

  2. Practice Address - This will the address of the current location of the dental practice using YAPI.

    NOTE: Click the From PMS button to use the saved information from the Practice Management Software. Be sure to check all the fields to make sure the information was imported correctly.

  3. Practice Email - This set of email addresses will receive additional information pertaining to YAPI and Practice communication with patients.

    • General Inquiry - This public-facing email address will be used for outgoing emails patients can use to directly communicate with the dental practice.

    • Practice Administrator - The non-public email address will be receiving logs in relation to appointment status. 

    • Appointment Confirmation/Request - This public-facing email address will be used when sending out emails to patients.

    • YAPI Administrator - This non-public email address will be receiving Care-call logs for completed appointments. 

      NOTE: It is recommended that General Inquiry and Appointment Confirmation/Request to have to same email for consolidated communication. This is also true for Practice and YAPI Administrator to keep Confirmation and Care-call logs together under one email. 
  4. External Links - These set of links will redirect the patient to alternate means of contact. Click the Open button next to each link to preview the site being used. 

    • Telephone - This is the office phone number publicly available in emails such as reminders.

    • Web site - This is the website link associated with the dental practice. 

    • Facebook - This is the website link to the official Facebook page for the dental office.

    • Google+ - As of March 2019, Google + as a platform has been discontinued

    • Google Place ID -The Google Place ID refers to the geographical location of the practice found through Google. This will be the same ID used to review the practice within InstaReview. To find out your Google Place ID is, use this Google Map tool.

When the configuration is complete, click the Save button on the bottom right corner of the Global Setup window.


Emails sent to patients via YAPI will then have the practice information available at the bottom of the email. The visibility of certain information can be adjusted within the email template creation.
