Messages to an Operatory Not Appearing

Notifications or messages to specific operatories on the Practice Dashboard may not appear as expected, and in many cases, it is actually because of a simple condition that needs to be met. YAPI Workstations need to be associated with their assigned Operatory Workstation Name introduced in the Operatory list and can be Added, Removed or Modified in your Global Setup. Having a differing name set for the workstation will not create an association with the saved operatory, and thus not receive messages. Adjusting this is actually quite easy and can be done quickly as well! 

The following article will show how to pair a YAPI workstation with an operatory to receive intra-office communications. 

Accessing the Local Setup

  1. To access the Local Setup, open the YAPI Dashboard.

  2. Click the Setup and Manage icon Setup and Manage at the top of the YAPI Dashboard and click the Local Setup option from the dropdown.

Pairing the YAPI Workstation to an Operatory

  1. On the top-left corner is a section referred to as the Area Name, click on the Dropdown button Dropdown to show all the available names associated with Operatories, the Check-In Area, and the Check-Out Area.

  2. Click on the Operatory you want to pair with the YAPI Workstation.

  3. Click on the Save button on the bottom-right corner of the Local Configuration window. 

  4. Closeout of YAPI, then restart YAPI to make sure the configuration changes applied at startup. This will be apparent with the name change at the top of the Practice Dashboard. 

You can proceed to test whether the messages are being sent and received correctly after making this adjustment. 

NOTE: If two YAPI Workstations share the same assigned Operatory, messages will not be received correctly. Make sure each workstation is assigned their individual operatory.
