Practice Online Portal - Text Messages
To send a text message to a patient:

Navigate to the Text tab under the patient's record.

At the bottom of the screen, type a message and click on the Send icon on the bottom right of the screen:
Viewing Incoming and Outgoing Messages
To view all incoming and outgoing text messages:

On the navigation pane, click Text Messages
Message threads will be displayed with the latest message sent or received on the top.
The status of a message being sent and received can be identified with the arrows next to the names:

Grey Arrow pointing to the Left: the message was sent from the practice

Blue Arrow pointing to the Right: the message received from a patient

Crown icon: Indicates a patient is a New Patient
NOTE: A patient is considered a "New Patient" until a family file is created for the patient.

Clicking on a thread will display the text tab of the patient detail page
NOTE: POP will be able to view up to 200 current messages returned in the last 7 days.
