When YAPI is installed for the first time, the default password a default password is set for you.
As simple as it is, to ensure that the practice is safe and HIPAA compliant with a patient's information, YAPI recommends a new password only known to office staff be used to protect sensitive information workstations are not in use. How to Access the YAPI Administrative Password
You must know your the current YAPI administrator password in order to perform this task.
From the YAPI Practice Dashboard, click on the Setup and Manage button, then click the Global Setup option.
A password request will prompt, enter your current administrative password and click OK.
From the Global Setup window, click on the Options tab.
The Administrator password section will be found on the top-left corner of the Global Setup.
Changing the YAPI Administrative Password
Type in the new password for YAPI in both the Password and Confirm Password fields.
Click the Show password checkbox to confirm the new password is correctly inputted.
Once the new password is typed in, click on the Save button on the bottom-right corner of the Options Global Setup.
Forgot the YAPI Password
From the YAPI Practice Dashboard, click on the Tools button, then click on the Administrative Tools.
From the Administrative Tools dropdown, click on the Request Temporary Password option.
A temporary email will be sent to the YAPI Administrative email address saved in YAPI.
NOTE: The email for the temporary password can be changed in the Global Setup's Practice tab.
