Mass Texting is coming to YAPI through the Practice Online Portal! Offices can now attempt to contact patients on selected appointment dates to better update the current status of their appointment.
At the bottom of the Appointments page of the Practice Online Portal, a new Message box is available and can be used to message multiple patients that are listed on the date of the appointment.
Clicking on the search icon at the top of the screen will allow the user to change between the different available dates, populating a new list of scheduled patients for each day.
NOTE: Dentrix patients that do not have a Family File will not receive messages from Mass Texting.
The user can then proceed to fill out a message for the group of scheduled patients, then click the Send button. All mass texts are limited to a total of 256 characters.
An additional window will appear requesting a confirmation for the message sent. The text message cannot be canceled from sending. Click the Yes button to continue sending, or the No button to return back to the prior page.
NOTE: Please note that messages sent via this feature should only be used for contacting patients regarding their their appointment. Any marketing-related messages may violate FCC rules and can be subject to fines and civil penalties.
