Practice Online Portal - Version 1.9.25 (Released April 28, 2021)

Feature Enhancements

  • API enhancements have been added to help with the load times within the Smart Fill's ASAP and Recall Past Due pages.
  • A scroll bar has been added to the filter options for both the ASAP and Recall Past Due pages within Smart Fill to help improve navigation of offices were robust filter options. 
  • If an office is not managing any recall types in the desktop application, the Recall Past Due menu should show 0 results if the practice is on the correct YService/Plugin version.

YService - Version 1.7.5 (Released April 27, 2021)

Bug Fixes

  • An issue where Dentrix users were experiencing difficulties sending Mass Texts with no error message was solved.

Practice Online Portal - Version 1.9.21 (Released April 22, 2021)

Bug Fixes

  • When sending mass texts via the Appointment page, the text message would continue to persist in the text box after sending the message with no confirmation. The message will now show the confirmation pop-up with the text box clearing once the message is successfully sent. 

  • When using Smart Fill for Recall Past Due patients, using the search filter options to select 0 Prior Contact Attempts would not show the correct list of patients. This has been resolved to reflect the correct list of patients.

  • In Smart Fill when selecting specific recall types in the search filter, certain additional recall types would not populate correctly as reflected in the desktop version of YAPI. The correct recall types will now populate.

  • The Recall Past Due List within Smart Fill would sometimes show an error message claiming it was unable to access the Recall Past Due data. The Recall Past Due list should now appear correctly with no error message.

  • Fixed an issue where Insurance Data would appear missing when using Smart Fill to access certain patients.

Practice Online Portal - Version 1.9.16 (Released April 14, 2021)

New Features

  • Smart Fill
    • Introducing Smart Fill, the most efficient way to fill gaps in your schedule with a mass text! Smart Fill accesses the ASAP and Recall Past Due lists within POP to narrow down the right patients for certain time slots with new list filtering options. Patients can now select their appointment preferences when booking appointments through Smart Scheduling. These preferences will be utilized by Smart Fill to automatically target the ideal patients based on the day and time of the opening. Appointment preferences can be added or adjusted by your dental team within POP. Additional information on how to access, filter, and send messages out to patients can be found in Practice Online Portal - Smart Fill.

Feature Enhancements

  • Dentrix Users: Mass Texting now available to New Patients without creating a Family File.

  • Smart Scheduling > Activity > Payment Information: Insurance Card Images can be clicked on to open in a new browser tab for easy reference.

  • The POP Logout Timer has been extended from 10 to 120 minutes.

Bug Fixes

  • In Smart Scheduling, some recall patients were able to schedule appointments on days that were blocked using the Time Block feature in the Scheduling Rule. This issue has been corrected.

  • Recall patients are now no longer able to schedule appointments on past times when the minimum scheduling window is set to 0.

Practice Online Portal - Version 1.8.5 (Released March 23, 2021)

Feature Enhancements

  • You now have the ability to send text messages to patients by appointment date when in offline mode.

  • In Smart Scheduling > Settings > General Settings > Providers that allow multi-scheduling field requires provider codes to be separated with space. Additional helper text has been added to assist with this.

Bug Fixes

  • In Smart Scheduling when patients select the insurance drop down it was being sorted in alphabetical order, ignoring the popular insurance settings. This has been corrected so that the popular insurances will be displayed at the top of the insurance drop-down list.

  • In Smart Scheduling when patients provide information for more than one insurance plan, the additional information did not display on the insurance information summary page. This has been corrected so that all insurance information provided will be displayed on the insurance summary page.

YAPI Desktop Client - Version 1.5.2.0 (Released March 12, 2021)

Bug Fixes

  • In certain instances, users were unable to access the Help Center Menu in the Desktop Application. This has been resolved.

  • Some users reported a Microsoft Bing Browser popup preventing them from being able to access features in the Desktop Application. This has been resolved.

Practice Online Portal - Version 1.8.4 (Released March 4, 2021)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue within the Email Campaign Builder where the Create Template function would prompt a "Something went wrong" screen, unable to proceed further.

  • There were some instances where new patients scheduling appointments via Smart Scheduling would receive two email confirmations. This has been resolved.

  • Fixed an issue where selecting an HMO Insurance option triggers a review eligibility requirements pop-up with no means of exiting after clicking the "I'm not sure" option.

  • The Smart Scheduling Widget on some websites would not display correctly on the assigned location. This issue has been resolved.

  • Fixed an issue where the displayed Date of Birth for patients would appear as Year > Month, > Day instead of the correct format of Month > Day > Year.

  • The "My insurance is not listed" checkbox should now work appropriately by disabling the "Name of Insurance" dropdown.

Practice Online Portal - Version 1.8.1 (Released February 17, 2021)

New Features 

  • Smart Scheduling

    • YAPI is proud to announce a brand new product now available, Smart Scheduling! Smart Scheduling allows new patients to schedule their own appointments with their preferred providers online from your website, and your returning recall patients can book their next visit from their automated recall reminders via text or email. Appointment data will write back to your appointment book in real-time. Scheduling rules, payment options, insurance providers, are all configured conveniently from POP to accommodate unique scheduling methods. Additional information on how Online Scheduling works is available in the Smart Scheduling Features article with full list instructions for both office staff and patients available in the Smart Scheduling Table of Contents. Smart Scheduling is currently available as an add-on product for customers using Dentrix G6.2+ with a plan that supports automated patient engagement.

  • API Change

    • New improvements to API authentication that affects the following: System generated emails, Reminders, Counters, Confirmation responses, Appointment notification logs, Care call lists, YAPI service configuration changes, Save the dates, and Email blast test emails.

YAPI iPad App - Version 5.39 (Released November 17, 2020)

Bug Fixes

  • Added additional messaging to the local network access prompt to help indicate that this setting must be enabled for the YAPI app to connect to the YAPI Service.

  • The password prompt now appears correctly every time YAPI returns to the Practice Dashboard.

  • YAPI has switched from using UIWebView to WKWebView for improved security and reliability.

YAPI iPad App - Version 5.27 (Released October 2, 2020)

Feature Enhancements

  • Configuration Change

    • With the release of IOS 13.5.1, a limitation introduced with the version update prevents applications such as YAPI from auto-restarting after applying configuration changes. As a result, changes applied to the Configuration section of the YAPI app will not truly apply after reopening the app. An update to the Configuration page introduces a new pop up giving instructions on how to manually update changes on the app. An article concerning this change can be found in Save iPad Application Configuration (iOS 13.5.1+).

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a Dark Mode issue that automatically starts the app in Dark Mode even when not enabled.

  • Fixed an issue that made password requirements mandatory when not enabled.

  • Fixed an issue where the app crashes when a patient is moved into an operatory on the dashboard. 

Practice Online Portal - Version 1.7.9 (Released June 29, 2020)

New Features

  • Email Campaigns

    • Introducing Email Campaigns! The new way to create and send mass emails to patients from your practice from the comfort of your home via POP! Email Campaigns are a new feature capable of downloading templates directly from the YAPI website and even schedule recurring email campaigns for events such as annual insurance updates, holiday promotions, and even more.   • Email Templates

    • With the introduction of Campaigns come the new Email Template creator available on POP! Now creating email templates and setting them up to be sent is now even easier with the new Email Campaign feature. The streamlined Email Template creator allows for easy implementation of images, fonts, links, and so much more! YAPI Desktop Client - Version 1.4.385.1 (Released February 13, 2019)

Feature Enhancements

  • Dentrix

    • YAPI is now able to directly introduce Medications into Medical History Forms for Dentrix 7.1 and up. Much like Open Dental, Medications entered in Dentrix will also be selectable within the Medical History Form and will be integrated for all future form updates.

  • Practice Dashboard

    • New Avatars pack "Monsters Too" is now available! Give your Dashboard new and fun ways to see your patients for every visit!

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where Phone Assistant was referencing GMT instead of the local time used by the office.

  • Fixed an issue when middle initials within patient names were not transferring after submission. 

  • Fixed an issue when Birthday and Recall messages would not send correctly.

  • Fixed an issue when the patient is moved to an operatory they will have a 1.06 billion minute wait time.

YAPI Desktop Client - Version 1.4.373.1 (Released December 19, 2018)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue when the [[FIRST]] and [[LAST]] merge tags were not populated when used with Save the Date GT email template.

  • iPads can now connect to the YAPI server while residing in a different subnet.

  • Fixed an issue when patients would disappear when checked in manually and/or a document is filled out.

  • Fixed an issue when InstaReview still displayed the Google button, even if Google is not configured.

  • Fixed an issue when the new Patient Welcome email pulled [[ADDRESS]] and [[PHONE]] from the Practice tab on Clinics-configured setups.

  • Fixed an issue when the Open Dental Patient Information form could not transfer the birthdate when used at Canadian offices.
