Enabling & Disabling Appointment Reminders
Once you've set up your Appointment Reminders with Yapi, there's not much need to switch them on or off. But if you're just getting started with Yapi and haven't enabled your reminders yet - or if your office ever needs to close for an extended period of time - you can use the instructions below to enable and disable your Appointment Reminders with just a few clicks.

Enabling Reminders

From the Yapi Dashboard, click the Setup and Manage
button and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your Yapi password and click OK.

In the Global Setup window, click the Reminders tab.

Click the Enable checkboxes in each section to enable those types of reminders:
- Email appointment reminders (top left, blue when enabled)
- Text appointment reminders (top right, pink and purple when enabled)
- Postcard appointment reminders (bottom left, yellow when enabled)

Click Save.

When prompted to restart all workstations, click OK. You don't need to restart your workstations.
Disabling Reminders

From the Yapi Dashboard, click the Setup and Manage
button and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your Yapi password and click OK.

In the Global Setup window, click the Reminders tab.

If you're disabling...

Email Reminders: Click the Save the Date template in the email reminders section (blue) and in the window that appears, click Empty.

Text Reminders: Click the Save the Date template in the text reminders section (pink) and in the window that appears, click Empty.

Deselect the Enable checkboxes in each section to disable those types of reminders.

Click Save.

When prompted to restart all workstations, click OK. You don't need to restart your workstations.
Postponing Reminders by Resetting Their Start Date
To temporarily disable Recall Reminders, you can set the Start Date to any future date. This way, you don't have to remind yourself to turn them back on again!
Warning! Recall Reminders and Appointment Reminders are controlled by a single start date, so changing the date here will postpone both. If you want one off and not the other, you must enable and disable your reminders manually as shown above.
To pause all of your reminders temporarily and set a new date for them to restart:

From the Yapi Dashboard, click the Setup and Manage
button and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your Yapi password and click OK.

In the Global Setup window, click the Reminders tab.

Click the Edit button under More Options.

In the Options window, click the pulldown menu next to Start reminders/recall on and select the date when you want your reminders to start sending out again.

Click Ok, then Save.
