On occasion, some practices need to exclude appointment reminders for patients scheduled with a specific provider. For example, if your practice prefers to stay in close phone contact with surgery patients to explain procedures, route them to a separate surgery location, or provide scheduling updates, automated reminders might be redundant for them. Luckily, YAPI is able to exclude appointments with selected providers attached. See below for instructions.
If you need to exclude reminders by operatory or procedure, see Excluding Appointment Reminders for an Operatory or Procedure.

How to Exclude Reminders for a Provider
From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.
When prompted, enter your YAPI password.
In the Global Setup window that pops up, click the Reminders tab.
In the green Providers section, select Exclude.
Click the double arrow >> button and check the boxes for each provider you want to exclude.
Tip: If you have a lot of providers at your practice and want to exclude all providers except just one or a few, choose Include instead. Then, select only the providers whose patients you want to receive reminders.
Click OK, then Save. Once saved, no appointment reminders will go out to the patients for the provider(s) you selected.
Note: When you receive a message about restarting workstations, click OK. We always recommend restarting workstations when making changes to Global Setup, but this change doesn't require a restart.
