Editing Appointment Reminder Text, Email, & Postcard Templates
YAPI's Appointment Reminders use our pre-made reminder templates by default, but you can also create and use custom text, email, and postcard templates for a personalized touch. The guide below shows how to make edits to your templates and then select the your new templates in Appointment Reminder settings if you change their names.

Editing Reminder Templates
If you want to customize the language of a reminder template, you can access your reminder templates directly within your reminder settings:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your YAPI password.

In the Global Setup window, click the Reminders tab.

Click the double arrow >> button next to any reminder.

Click Manage.

In the Manage Documents and Templates window, click the Email Templates, Mobile Templates (Text), or Postcard tab according to the type of reminder you want to edit.

Once your edits are complete, close the Manage Documents and Templates window. If you edited an existing template but didn't change the name, you're done! No further action is needed on your part.

If you created a new template or change the template's name, make sure to change out the template used for the appropriate reminder using the instructions in the next section below.
Tip: You can also access and edit your templates by clicking Setup and Manage , selecting Manage Documents and Templates, and entering your YAPI password but we recommend accessing the template editors using the instructions above if you need to see which templates are being used for each reminder or if you need to change out any reminder templates below once your edits are complete.
Changing Out the Template Used for a Reminder
When editing a reminder template, if you didn't change its name, you can skip this step! If you changed the name, however, you now need to select the template with its new name in your Appointment Reminder settings:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup. (Skip to step 4 if you're already in the Reminders tab.)

When prompted, enter your YAPI password.

In the Global Setup window, click the Reminders tab.

Click the double arrow >> button next to any reminder to select a new template for that reminder.

Click the template you want to use, then click Select.

Click Save.
Note: When you receive a message about restarting workstations, click OK. We always recommend restarting workstations when making changes to Global Setup, but this change doesn't require a restart.
