Editing the After-Hours Text Alert Setup
At install, YAPI is configured to display a lightbulb alert icon when after-hours text messages arrive and is also set to exclude appointment confirmations texts from after-hours alerts. If you want to change these settings, follow the instructions below.

Including Appointment Confirmations in After-Hours Alerts
If a patient confirms their appointment via text after hours, their response is excluded from After-Hours alerts by default (but still shows in your Text Message Log). To include the appointment confirmations as texts that will trigger the After-Hours alert lightbulb:
-
From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup & Manage and select Global Setup.
-
When prompted, enter your YAPI password.
-
In the Global Setup window that pops up, click the CT tab.
-
In the Mobile Text section, deselect Don't alert when the message is an appointment confirmation.
Note: Appointments will still confirm in Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft; this setting only affects whether you're alerted to the confirmation text.
