Adding Notes to Patient Forms Using the Draw Feature

If you ever need to add notes to a patient's completed form, you can use YAPI's Draw feature on the iPad.  Draw allows you to make edits, highlight specific areas, add a tooth number, or add any other additional remarks.  Follow the instructions below to enable the Draw feature and use it on an iPad form.

Enabling the Draw Feature

  1. Open the YAPI app on your iPad and tap Configuration in the bottom right corner.

  2. Scroll down to the Documents section and locate Enable Drawing.

  3. Push the toggle to the right so that it's green.

  4. Tap Save in the top right corner.

  5. Force quit the app and reopen it to save the configuration changes.

 

Drawing on a Completed Form

  1. From the YAPI iPad Dashboard, swipe across on a patient to get to their Forms & Documents section.

  2. Tap the form you want in the Current Documents section.

  3. When the form opens, tap Draw in the top right corner, then tap to select a pen color on the right.

  4. Add notes or drawings on your form with your finger or a stylus. If you need to erase a mark, select the Eraser tool next to the pen options on the right.

  5. When you're finished, tap Sign in the top right corner.

  6. Tap the orange More tab on the left and choose Save.
