Installing & Testing YAPI Writer
YAPI Writer is a digital printer that lets you transfer treatment plans to YAPI so patients can sign them on an iPad. Tip: Anything you can print can be sent to an iPad using YAPI Writer! While YAPI Writer was created for use with treatment plans, you can use it to send receipts, x-rays, and any other printable file to your iPad for review and signing. You can even use YAPI Writer from Microsoft Word and Excel! If you can print it, you can use YAPI Writer to transfer it.

Installing YAPI Writer

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Tools . Select Administrative Tools, then YAPI Writer, then Install YAPI Writer.
Note: If you see the message below, YAPI Writer was already installed on your workstation and you can stop here! Just click No to close the pop-up.

In the Install YWriter window that pops up, click Install.

Depending on your system, installation takes about 1-2 minutes. You won't see a progress bar while YAPI Writer is installing but you'll know the install is complete when yousee a "Completed" pop-up appear:

Click OK to close the Completed window and Cancel to close the Install YWriter window.
Testing YAPI Writer
To test if YAPI Writer is installed on your workstation:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Tools . Select Administrative Tools, then YAPI Writer, then Test YAPI Writer.

If a Document from YAPI Writer window pops up, YAPI Writer is installed! Click Cancel to close the window.
