What Is the Quick KPI Report?

YAPI's Quick KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Report is designed to give you a quick and easy look at your practice's production and collection numbers. YAPI pulls data from your practice management software (Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft) and compiles it into an easy to read report - viewable on the desktop or from the YAPI iPad app - giving you a general idea of how your practice is performing.  

 

Why Use the Quick KPI Reports?

The Quick KPI Report is a great way to see, at a glance, how your team is progressing toward your monthly production goal.  It's truly meant to be a quick look at your team's numbers that you can pull up easily each day, without having to dig deep into your practice management software to generate a report.  The Quick KPI Report doesn't replace your more detailed daily, monthly, or annual reports in Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft; it's meant to be fast and accessible. We recommend using it as a daily gauge to help motivate your team toward your common goal.  

Some great ways to use the Quick KPI:

• In your morning huddle, to update your team on how well they're doing and set the goal for the day.
• At the end of the day to assess your team's overall progress.
• As a tool to promote fun and friendly competition (in positive spirits, of course!)

Note: Production numbers are based on appointments that have been marked as completed in your practice management software.

This column displays quick statistics for the current month including:

• Number of patients seen
• Number of new patients
• Production amount
• Adjustments amount
• Adjusted production amount
• Collection
• Production per patient (average)

This column displays quick statistics for the current calendar year including:

• Number of patients seen
• Number of new patients
• Production amount
• Adjustments amount
• Adjusted production amount
• Collection
• Production per patient (average)

  Provider

This column displays a list of the practice's providers, shown by provider code.

  MTD Stats By Provider

Displays quick statistics for each provider for the current month including:

• Number of patients seen
• Number of new patients
• Production amount
• Adjustments amount
• Collection

Displays quick statistics for each provider for the current calendar year including:

• Number of patients seen
• Number of new patients
• Production amount
• Adjustments amount
• Collection

  Monthly Production

Clicking the month opens a window showing daily statistics for the current month, including:

• Number of patients seen
• Number of new patients
• Production amount (without adjustments)
• Adjustments amount
• Production total (includes adjustments)
• Collection patient (amount paid directly by patients)
• Collection insurance (amount paid by patients' insurance)
• Collection total

Select the More Details checkbox to see each day broken down by provider.

  Monthly Production vs. Goal Gauge

This gauge displays the practice's progress toward your set monthly goal, the number of production days that have past and how many you have left, and the amount of production your team needs to generate each day to stay on track:

	Production so far this month
	Daily Goal Forward - Based on your team's production so far this month, this is the production amount your team needs to meet each day today to stay on track toward your monthly goal.
	Percentage of monthly production goal that's been met
	Percentage of production days that have already passed this month (including today)
	Number of production days left (after today) until the end of the month

  Set Production Goal

Clicking Set Production Goal opens a window for you to set your practice's production goal for the month.  In this window, you can also mark which days the practice is open and closed so the system can better calculate production goals per day.

  Trend Graph Dropdown Menu

This dropdown menu allows you to choose which stats display in the Trend Graph below it including:

• Daily Production vs. Collection (daily, for the current month)
• Production vs. Collection (per month for the last 6 months)
• Patients treated (per month for the last 6 months)
• New Patients (per month for the last 6 months)
• Production per patient (per month for the last 6 months)
• Production vs. Goal (Current Month)

  Trend Graph

Displays quick statistics to view how your practice's performance compares with previous days and months.  By default, the graph displays Daily Production vs. Collection (for the current month) but you can also choose other options from the Trend Graph Dropdown Menu including:

• Production vs. Collection (per month for the last 6 months)
• Patients treated (per month for the last 6 months)
• New Patients (per month for the last 6 months)
• Production per patient (per month for the last 6 months)
• Production vs. Goal (Current Month)
