Using Your Care Call List to Follow Up with Patients

The Care Call List is a simple tool where staff can note patients who need followup contact after an appointment and then view who needs to be contacted each day. For example, you might add a nervous patient to the list so you can remember to check on their experience or add a note to call a patient who needs oral surgery scheduled.  With just a couple clicks, you can view all the patients you need to contact and easily fold these followups into your team's daily routine. Follow the instructions below to access the Care Call List, reach out to your patients, and mark each followup as done.

Using the Care Call List

  1. To view your daily Care Call List from the YAPI Dashboard, click Reports Reports.png in the toolbar and select Care Call List:

    The Care Call List window displays:

    • All Care Calls scheduled for today in gray.  
    • All Care Calls from previous days that haven't been marked as done in red.

    Completed Care Calls display a green check mark Screen_Shot_2021-10-26_at_2.24.34_PM.png in the completed column and Care Calls that haven't been completed have a checkbox Screen_Shot_2022-04-28_at_2.43.54_PM.png next to them:

  2. For each patient on the list, reach out to  them via phone, email, or text, regarding the information listed in the Details column.

  3. For each completed followup, select the checkbox in the left-hand column next to the patient's name, then click the Mark Done button.

Other Places to View Your Care Call List

You can view, but not modify, your Care Call List in two other places: the Daily Huddle, and the Daily Activity Report.  With the Daily Activity Report, you can view Care Call Lists from past dates and with the Huddle, you can view past and future dates.

The Daily Huddle

To view your Care Call List in the Huddle:

  1. From the YAPI Dashboard, click Huddle Huddle.png.

  2. In the bottom right corner, select the date you want to view and click Get.

  3. Once the Huddle report loads, scroll down to the bottom to view your Care Call List:

The Daily Activity Report

To view your Care Call List in the Daily Activity Report:

  1. From the YAPI Dashboard, click Reports Reports.png and select Daily Activity Report.

  2. In the bottom left corner, select the date you want to view and click Get.

  3. Once the report loads, scroll down to the Care Call List section (toward the bottom):
