Adding Patients to Your Care Call List
The Care Call List is a simple tool where staff can note patients who need followup contact after an appointment and then view who needs to be contacted each day. For example, you might add a nervous patient to the list so you can remember to check on their experience or add a note to call a patient who needs oral surgery scheduled. With just a couple clicks, you can view all the patients you need to contact and easily fold these followups into your team's daily routine.

Adding Patients to Your Care Call List
There are two ways to add patients to your Care Call List: on their Routing Slip (during checkout or dismissal) and via the Patient Finder:
Adding a Patient via the Routing Slip

When checking a patient out or dismissing them in the YAPI Dashboard, locate the Care Call List section on their Routing Slip.

Select the Add to Care Call List checkbox.

In the white notes box, note the reason your team needs to follow up with this patient.
Tip: You may also want to note the best way to follow up: by phone, text, or email.

From the Call On dropdown menu, select the date you or your team need to follow up with the patient.

Complete the rest of the Routing Slip and select:

Save to save your changes to the Routing Slip and leave the patient in their current room.

Checkout if you're moving the patient from their operatory to the Check-Out Area.

Dismiss if you're dismissing the patient from the Dashboard at the end of their appointment.

Adding a Patient via the Patient Finder
If a patient isn't currently in the office (or in the Dashboard), you can add the patient to your Care Call List using the Patient Finder:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Patients
and select Patient Finder.

Search for your patient by entering their last name and clicking Search.
Tip: You can also search for your patient by their phone number, email address, birth date, age and gender, which Interest List they're on, or their appointment date by clicking the appropriate tab at the top of the Patient Finder window.

Locate the patient in your search results and click on their name. Then select Add to Care Call List.

In the pop-up, select the date you or your team need to follow up with the patient.

In the white note box, note the reason your team needs to follow up with this patient.
Tip: You may also want to note the best way to follow up - by phone, text, or email.

Click Add.
