What Is Getting It Done?
Getting It Done is a tool for scheduling tasks - or "To-Dos" - and marking them as completed when they're finished. When adding tasks, your team also has the options to send an immediate email and/or text notification for the task and a reminder to complete the task when it's coming due.
YAPI's Getting It Done has two views - List and Calendar - so each of your team members can add and view tasks in the way that works best for them. Your team's list of To-Dos also appears on your Daily Huddle report, so everyone can see which tasks are due for the day.
Why Use Getting It Done?
Instead of having to use a separate task management program, you can manage your tasks right inside YAPI! And since your task list integrates with your Daily Huddle report, you're able to see your whole team's day at a glance.
What Getting It Done Looks Like
To view Getting It Done, click the Getting It Done icon in the YAPI Dashboard toolbar. From there, you can choose one of two views: To-Do List View or To-Do Calendar View.

Checkbox Column
Selecting the checkbox next to a task in the Checkbox Column and then clicking Mark Done marks the task as completed and changes its color to gray. Selecting the checkbox and clicking Delete completely removes the item from the task list.
Who
Displays the staff member the task is assigned to.
Due
Displays the date and time that the task should be completed by.
Notify
Indicates whether the staff member assigned to the task will have a reminder sent to them when the task is coming due, when that reminder will send, and how it will send ([E] for email and [T] for text).
Lists the staff member's email address if it was entered when the task was added. If an email is entered here, it also indicates that the staff member was notified by email when the task was created.
SMS
Lists the staff member's mobile phone number if it was entered when the task was added. If a phone number is entered here, it also indicates that the staff member was notified by text when the task was created.
Text
Lists the task that needs to be completed.
Mark Done
Selecting the checkbox next to a task and clicking this button marks the task as completed and changes its color to gray.
Delete
Selecting the checkbox next to a task and clicking this button deletes the task from the list.
Staff Members to Show
Entering a staff's ID code (from Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft) into the box and clicking Refresh filters the list to only show tasks assigned to that staff member. To view multiple staff members' tasks, enter each staff member's ID code separated by commas with no spaces.
Refresh
Entering a staff's ID code in the Staff Members to Show box and clicking Refresh filters the list to only show tasks assigned to that staff member.

Date Selection Calendar
Selecting a date on this calendar displays the date on the Task Calendar to the right.
Show Days
Sets the number of days displayed on the Task Calendar to the right. By default, the Task Calendar displays 3 days at a time.
Staff Members
Entering a staff's ID code (from Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft) into this box and clicking the Refresh button in the toolbar filters the list to show only the tasks assigned to that staff member. To view multiple staff members' tasks, enter each staff member's ID code separated by commas with no spaces.
Task Calendar
Displays the tasks that are due for:
- The day that is selected in the Date Selection Calendar.
- The days following that, as set by the Show Days option.
Task
Displays the task and the staff ID code for the staff member assigned to that task.
