Changing a Provider's Assigned Color in the Dashboard
In YAPI, each provider is assigned a color that displays as the background for their patients in the Dashboard and the color of all their in-office messages. This way, providers can easily find their messages on any workstation and see where their patients are. At installation, your installer sets each provider's color in YAPI to match the color they're assigned in Dentrix, Open Dental or Eaglesoft, but if you need to change the provider's color in YAPI, just follow the instructions below.

Changing a Provider's Assigned Color
-
From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.
-
When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.
-
Navigate to the Providers tab.
-
Right-click on the name of the provider whose color you want change and select Set Color.
-
Click a color to select it.
Tip: If you don't see the color you want under Basic Colors, you can click Define Custom Colors to create a new one! Select a color from the color field, click Add to Custom Colors, and then select it for your provider under the Custom Colors section.
-
Click OK, then Save.
-
When you see the notification "Providers were updated on all workstations," click OK.
Note: New messages sent to the provider after saving will automatically appear in the new color. Any patients that were still in the Dashboard when you made the change will keep the old color until they're dismissed.
