Configuring Automatic Notifications
By default, YAPI notifies you automatically when:
- a patient checks in
- a patient is marked as ready for treatment
- a patient is running so late for their appointment that they may be a no-show
- an appointment was added to or cancelled on today's schedule
You can adjust these types of notification messages for your team (or enable them if you've turned them off) by following the directions below.

Disabling & Enabling Check-In Notifications
YAPI automatically sends each workstation a notification when a patient is checked into the YAPI Dashboard:
If you want to change whether these notification messages appear:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.

Navigate to the Options tab and find the Alerts section.

Locate the Patient Arrived checkbox and:
- To Disable: Deselect the checkbox.
- To Enable: Select the checkbox.

Click Save, then OK.
Disabling & Enabling Patient Ready Notifications
YAPI automatically sends each workstation a notification when a patient is set to Ready or set back to Not Ready in the YAPI Dashboard:
If you want to change whether these notification messages appear:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.

Navigate to the Options tab and find the Alerts section.

Locate the Patient ready status change checkbox and:
- To Disable: Deselect the checkbox.
- To Enable: Select the checkbox.

Click Save, then OK.
Disabling & Enabling "Possible No-Show" Notifications
YAPI automatically sends each workstation a notification when a patient hasn't been checked into the Dashboard by 10 minutes past their scheduled appointment time:
If you want to change whether these notification messages appear:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.

Navigate to the Options tab and find the Alerts section.

Locate the No show checkbox and:

To Disable: Deselect the No show checkbox.

To Disable for Specific Providers Only: Select the No show checkbox. Then click the double arrow >> button next to Exclude Providers. Select the checkboxes next to each provider whose No-Show notifications you don't want to display on workstations. Then click OK.

To Enable: Select the No show checkbox.

Click Save, then OK.
Disabling & Enabling Notifications of New & Cancelled Appointments
YAPI automatically sends each workstation a notification when there is a new appointment added to today's schedule or when an appointment for today has been cancelled:
If you want to change whether these notification messages appear:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.

Navigate to the Options tab and find the Alerts section.

Locate the New/cancelled appointment checkbox and:
- To Disable: Deselect the checkbox.
- To Enable: Select the checkbox.

Click Save, then OK.
