Customizing Your Available Quick Messages
YAPI's Quick Messages are a list of pre-set messages your team can choose from when communicating in office. Instead of having to type out a full message every time, you can send Quick Messages with just a couple clicks, saving time for messages your team uses frequently. While you can always use YAPI's pre-loaded list, you can also customize it to fit your practice's needs by following the steps below.

Customizing Your List of Quick Messages
To add, remove, or edit the list of Quick Messages your team can use:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click the Quick Messages icon
and select Manage Quick Messages:

In the Quick Messages window that pops up, add, delete, or edit your Quick Messages:

Adding: Double-click into the empty space in the Message column and type your new message.
Then in the To column, click the dropdown menu and select:

ALL: Sets the Quick Message so it broadcasts to all workstations when sent

A staff member's code: Set the Quick Message so it broadcasts in the staff member's color.

REPLY: Makes the option available as a Quick Reply when clicking the bullhorn icon
on a received message.

Deleting: Select the Quick Message by clicking next to it in the left-hand column. Then, tap the Delete key on your keyboard.

Editing the Text of a Quick Message: Triple-click on the text of the Quick Message you want to change and type in your new text. Then tap Enter on your keyboard.

Editing the Type or Recipient for a Quick Message: Quick Messages can be set to broadcast to all workstations (ALL), broadcast in a specific staff member's color, or be a reply option on all received messages.

ALL: Sets the Quick Message so it broadcasts to all workstations when sent

A staff member's code: Set the Quick Message so it broadcasts in the staff member's color.

REPLY: Makes the option available as a Quick Reply when clicking the bullhorn icon
on a received message.

Click Save, then OK and close the window.
Note: The order of Quick Messages on your list can't be changed and all new Quick Messages will appear the bottom of the list.
