Troubleshooting: Ejecting Patients Stuck in the Dashboard
If you have a patient that's stuck on the Dashboard, you can use YAPI's Eject feature to remove them to fix the issue and then check them back in again. Just follow the steps below.
Note: If your patient is stuck in the Check-In Area, they may not need to be ejected. Instead, you may just need to mark them as Ready, which allows you to move them to an operatory. If this is the case, check out Marking a Patient as Ready for Treatment in the YAPI Dashboard before moving forward with the steps below.

Ejecting a Patient from the Dashboard
Important! Ejecting patients removes any unfiled forms that the patient has completed. Make sure that you file all unfiled forms for the patient into Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft before proceeding.

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Tools and select Find Patient.

In the Current Patients window that pops up, click on the name of the patient you want to eject:

On your keyboard, hold down the Control (Ctrl) button while pressing the letter E.

Click Yes to confirm:

Optional: If you need to check the patient back into the Dashboard to complete their visit, re-check them in through Today's Schedule.
