Troubleshooting: Error E081 - Server Refused Connection
If you see an E081 error message when trying to open YAPI, this means that your workstation isn't able to communicate with YAPI on your server. To troubleshoot, follow the steps below.
Note: You may see a different message from the example below like "Reported error: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable network" or "Reported error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it." As long as the error messages starts with "[E081]", proceed with the troubleshooting steps below regardless of what message you see.

Step 1: Restarting YAPI on Your Workstation
To start, try closing the YAPI Dashboard on an affected workstation and opening it up again. If you still see the E081 error, continue on to Step 2: Checking Your Network Connection below.

From your Windows Start Menu, open the Control Panel.

Select Network & Internet, then Network and Sharing Center.

Under your active network, see if the network is listed as a Public, Private, Work, or Home network.

If your network is listed as PUBLIC: Ask your IT professional to reconfigure your network as private. For patient security, YAPI can only be used on a private network.

If your network is listed as PRIVATE, WORK, or HOME: Close the window and proceed to Step 3: Further Troubleshooting below.

Ask your IT professional to open the following ports in your server's firewall so that YAPI can communicate between your workstations and your server:
