Adding & Removing Providers
When providers join or leave your practice, you simply need to add or remove them from your practice management software for the change to reflect in YAPI. To learn more about adding and removing providers, see our instructions below.

Adding a Provider
YAPI pulls provider information directly for Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft, so if you want to add a provider to be used in YAPI, you must add that provider in your practice management software. YAPI will then automatically reflect that change so the provider appears and is active in your Providers list. To add a provider in your practice management software:

Eaglesoft Users: See Setup New or Edit Provider / Staff Member on Patterson's website.
Viewing Your Providers List in YAPI
Once you've added a provider into your practice management software, you'll see that provider reflected in the Providers tab in YAPI's Global Setup:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.

In the Global Setup window that opens, navigate to the Providers tab:
Removing a Provider
In Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft
If a provider leaves your practice, we recommend you remove, hide, or inactivate them directly within Dentrix, Open Dental, or Eaglesoft so that this automatically removes them from your Providers list in YAPI:

In YAPI
If you're not able to do this or don't have time, you can disable the provider in your YAPI Provider's list so they don't show up as an option when sending in-office messages or switching a patient's provider in the Dashboard:

From the YAPI Dashboard, click Setup and Manage and select Global Setup.

When prompted, enter your YAPI password and click OK.

In the Global Setup window that opens, navigate to the Providers tab. In the Active column, deselect the checkbox for the provider:

Click Save, then OK.
Note: This doesn't remove the provider from your list in YAPI or in your practice management software; it simply hides them from the Message to Provider and Change Provider lists in YAPI's main interface.
